The variety belongs to the group of botanical tulips, close to wild-growing forms. The plant reaches a height of 15–25 cm. It has narrow dark green leaves and narrow elegant buds which, when fully opened in the sun, take on a star shape. The flowers have a delicate sweet fragrance.
The coloration of the petals is two-tone: the outer side is red with a yellow or beige-yellow edge, the inner part also has yellow shades. The variety is early-flowering; the flowering period occurs in March–April.
The plant is undemanding, frost-resistant, and does not require annual digging. It prefers sunny areas with well-drained fertile soil without stagnant moisture.
