Toronto Double variety is a mutation of the Toronto variety and belongs to the Greigii group of tulips. The plant is distinguished by being multi-flowering: several buds can form on a single stem. The flowers have a double, peony-like shape and a coral-red or red-orange color, sometimes with a pink hue and stripes on the outer petals. The bud diameter ranges from 6 to 12 cm.

Plant height varies from 20 to 40 cm. The leaves are long, broad, deep green, often with streaks or spots characteristic of this group. The variety is early-blooming, resistant to diseases, temperature fluctuations, and lodging due to sturdy stems. The flowers maintain their decorative appearance for up to two to three weeks; the variety is suitable for cutting and cultivation in open ground or containers.
