Variety description

The variety belongs to the mid-season flowering group; blooming occurs in April–May. The plant reaches a height of 50–70 cm and has strong, upright stems resistant to lodging, wind, and rain.

The flower has a classic goblet shape; the bud height is 6–9 cm, and the diameter varies from 5 to 12 cm. The petals are a rich pink color with a reddish tint, sometimes with a lighter back.

The variety possesses good resistance to diseases, including the tulip breaking virus. It is distinguished by high durability as a cut flower and is suitable for forcing. It is the progenitor of a number of mutations, including the varieties Lady van Eijk, Mystic van Eijk, Orange Van Eijk, Royal van Eijk, Salmon Van Eijk, and Red Van Eijk.
