The variety belongs to the class of fringed tulips. The flowers have a dark blood-red or ruby shade with a violet sheen, a yellow center, and pronounced needle-like fringe on the edges of the petals. The plant's leaves are deep green and glossy.
The plant reaches a height of 35–50 cm and flowers in May. The flower stalks are characterized by resistance to wind and rain. The variety is suitable for group plantings, landscaping of flower beds, borders, and cutting, and is also suitable for forcing with a cooling period of about 16 weeks.
