The variety was obtained as a result of breeding work initiated in 2003 using seeds from the Chandler variety via open pollination. The plant is characterized by strong growth and a more upright bush habit compared to the Chandler variety.
The berries are large and uniform, characterized by a sweet taste, firm crunchy flesh, and a small dry scar. The variety is early-ripening and intended for commercial cultivation, sale of fresh produce, processing, and use in pick-your-own orchards.
