The Agathe variety forms a basal rosette of leaves, which are characterized as long or very long. The plant belongs to fast-growing types and is specifically adapted for cultivation in the autumn and winter periods. The leaves have a dark green color.

The plant is cold-hardy and prefers moist, cool soil. In the case of moisture deficiency or increased temperatures, the variety is prone to rapid transition into the flowering phase. In scientific trials, the variety was used for testing resistance to necroviruses, whereby the indicators of resistance to systemic necrotic diseases were limited.
