The variety is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the commercial Veronica longifolia line. It is known as the parent form from which the 'Marietta' variety was obtained as a result of a spontaneous mutation.

The plant is intended for use in ornamental gardening, particularly in flower beds, and is a honey plant. The variety possesses traits typical of the species, including an erect habit and sturdy stems, and also demonstrates winter hardiness and ease of cultivation.
