The plant forms dense, well-branched bushes 30–40 cm in height with narrow-lanceolate dark green leaves with serrated margins. The variety has the ability for continuous peduncle formation and blooms from late June until the first frosts, producing upright spicate inflorescences of an ink-blue shade.
The variety withstands temperature drops down to –34...–40 °C (USDA zones 3–4). Successful cultivation requires sunny sites with well-drained soil, as excess moisture can lead to fungal diseases such as powdery mildew or root rots.
The plant is suitable for mixed borders, edging, container gardening, and cut flowers. To extend the flowering period, it is recommended to remove faded inflorescences, and to maintain the vitality of the bush, it should be divided once every three to four years.
