The plant reaches a height of 40–80 cm and forms dense bushes with dark green serrated foliage. The inflorescences have a vertical candle-like shape and are white in color. Flowering continues throughout the summer, from June to August; trimming spent flower stalks may result in a second flush of inflorescences.

The variety is hardy, moderately drought-tolerant, and has high winter hardiness, although root system damage is possible under certain conditions. It prefers sunny locations or light partial shade, as well as loose soils without moisture stagnation. Used in mixed borders, borders, rock gardens, containers, and for cut flowers.

In botanical descriptions and catalogs, the classification of the variety is ambiguous: it is most often attributed to the species Veronica spicata or Veronica longifolia; sometimes erroneous attributions to other species occur.
