The CD-38-1 line belongs to the major-equina seed type and is characterized by a limited number of nodes bearing mature pods, which distinguishes it from indeterminate varieties. This growth feature contributes to the concentration of ripening within a more compressed period, which is an advantage for the mechanized harvesting of both green beans and seeds.

The object was developed for vegetable growing needs and was intended for fresh consumption. In scientific literature, the line is considered as a subject for the study of genetics and plant development physiology within the framework of comparative genotype trials.
