The Crimsonia variety, previously known as Karmesin, is characterized by a short and compact habit, which allows for cultivation without staking. The plant is decorative due to its bright crimson-magenta flowers and is cold-hardy.
The harvesting period falls between June and August; sowing is recommended from February to April. The plant is responsive to hilling. Harvested beans are consumed without pods and are distinguished by good flavor qualities.
