The variety belongs to the tick bean type and is intended for agricultural use. In the Spanish scientific community, the variety is frequently used as a control sample in experiments concerning agrotechnology studies, herbicide efficacy evaluation, and forage productivity analysis.

During studies on the susceptibility to faba bean rust (Uromyces viciae-fabae) under artificial inoculation, the Amcor variety demonstrated pathogen sensitivity comparable to other studied genotypes.
