The variety belongs to small-seeded faba beans. It is included in official lists of agricultural plant varieties and is intended for the production of high-protein feed for livestock, as well as for improving soil fertility through nitrogen fixation.
The breeding program under which the variety was created is aimed at improving such parameters as protein content, lodging resistance, and reduction of anti-nutrient levels, in particular vicine and convicine.
