The variety is a representative of the small-seeded faba bean group with an indeterminate growth type. This is a traditional Italian variety, adapted to the conditions of Central Italy and characterized by stable yield.

The plant is susceptible to infection by broomrape and fungal diseases, including Ascochyta blight. Morphological studies note the stomatal length of the variety at the level of 47.4 µm.
