The Husky variety is a winter type and is characterized as high-yielding, acting as a market standard in the winter field bean segment. The plant is used in agriculture for feed purposes; in particular, it is considered an effective substitute for soybeans in swine diets.
In comparative studies, the variety demonstrates a certain resistance to adverse winter conditions, however, like other winter beans, it is subject to the risk of winterkill during severe winters.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
