The Mistral variety belongs to the “tannin-free” type, which ensures improved fodder qualities of the seeds. In terms of maturity, it is characterized as semi-early, possesses good resistance to lodging, stem breakage, and a high level of plant sanitary status.
The plant demonstrates stable yield and reduced sensitivity to adverse environmental factors, while combining high productivity with an increased protein content. The variety is recommended for cultivation on loamy soils with a neutral or slightly acidic reaction.
Cultivation requires very early sowing in well-prepared soil at a depth of 6–8 cm. The recommended seeding rate is 0.6–0.7 million viable seeds per hectare. The best results are achieved in areas with good moisture retention capacity in regions with a moderately warm climate.
