The variety was developed through selection from a population growing in the Erei Mountains of Sicily and is adapted to Mediterranean conditions. The plant has a medium height at the beginning of flowering; the first primary leaf blade has a linear elongated shape, and a medium anthocyanin coloration is present at the base of the stem. The color of the flower standard at the beginning of flowering is light violet.

The variety is distinguished by high biomass productivity and tolerance to downy mildew. The beans ripen simultaneously. The seeds are of medium size, spherical in shape, and brown with a mottled pattern; the thousand kernel weight is 7.18 ± 0.07 g.
