The variety belongs to forage crops and is classified as partially resistant to the pathogen Aphanomyces euteiches, which causes root rot. Its resistance level exceeds that of susceptible varieties, but is inferior to fully resistant forms.

In agronomic studies, the variety was used as a standard for calculating average yields of green mass and seeds. The variety was included in the official catalog as winter common vetch.
