The variety is characterized as very early maturing, which allows for the efficient use of winter moisture reserves. The stem height is 60–70 cm, the vegetative mass is dark green, the flowers are purple, and the seeds are dark brown-gray. The upright growth habit facilitates the mechanized harvesting process.

The plant possesses resistance to Fusarium, powdery mildew, anthracnose, lodging, and pod shattering, and also demonstrates good cold hardiness. The protein content in the forage mass reaches 18–20% in terms of dry matter.

The variety has a dual-purpose for grain and forage production, is suitable for mixed cropping with oats or triticale, and can also be used as a green manure crop. Depending on the climate, it can be cultivated as a spring or winter crop.
