The variety is intended for forage purposes. In studies of the forage quality of the variety, a calcium to phosphorus ratio (Ca:P) of 6.0:1 was recorded.

The plant is used as material for biological testing in the field of studying symbiosis with nitrogen-fixing bacteria Rhizobium leguminosarum. Like other representatives of the species Vicia villosa, the variety shows a tendency to lodging, which necessitates its cultivation in mixtures with cereal crops.
