The plant is perennial, forming dense, quickly closing carpet covers. The height of the bushes usually ranges from 8 to 15 cm, in individual cases up to 25 cm. The leaves are medium-sized, dark green, with a characteristic luster and dense texture.
The flowers of the variety have an intensely blue or violet-blue color and are distinguished by an increased size relative to wild species. The main flowering period occurs in April-May, with a possible secondary wave of flowering.
The variety is intended for use as an ornamental groundcover plant in shaded and semi-shaded areas, including under tree canopies, in borders and rock gardens. The plant possesses high winter hardiness, withstanding temperatures down to -20°C and lower.
