The variety forms a compact bush with a pronounced ability to branch. The plant is a perennial, but is cultivated as an annual in temperate climates.

The inflorescences are large and bright, consisting of stiff bracts with a "papery" texture. The crop is intended for landscaping, use in container plantings, and the creation of dried bouquets.
