The plant can be grown as an annual or short-lived perennial. It is characterized by the presence of double daisy-like inflorescences surrounded by expressive papery red bracts.

The variety prefers sunny locations and well-drained soil with moderate moisture. The plant is used in ornamental gardening, in particular it is suitable for container cultivation, flowering occurs during the summer-autumn period.
