Inflorescences range in size from 7.5 to 15 cm; the color of the spathe and spadix is uniform. A mature plant forms a dense clump of lanceolate leaves 14–30 cm long and 2.5–10 cm wide, with a total height reaching 46–61 cm.

The variety is used as an ornamental plant for flower beds, containers, and cut flowers. It prefers moist, well-drained soils and partial shade. The plant is susceptible to rhizome rot. In regions with cold winters, tubers require digging up or indoor storage.
