Variety description

The funnel-shaped inflorescences have a smooth waxy texture and a deep dark burgundy, almost black hue. The plant forms dark green sagittate leaves. The variety is thermophilic; in open field, it is suitable for USDA hardiness zones 8–10.

The flowering period lasts from late spring to autumn, with a vegetation period of 10–11 weeks. The plant contains calcium oxalate and is toxic if ingested.
