The Orania variety belongs to the group of pot calla lilies. The plant has dark green leaves and sturdy stems; the inflorescences have a characteristic yellow-red fiery shade. The height of an adult plant varies in the range from 40 to 60 cm.

In specialized biotechnological research, the variety is used to study shoot regeneration processes, callus induction, and microtuber formation. Scientific data indicate a dependence of survival rates and tuber size during in vitro propagation on the concentration of sucrose and specific growth regulators.
