Variety description

The variety is a hybrid form derived from Z. rehmannii. The spathes are funnel-shaped and deep red in color, sometimes with an orange tint and a yellow base; the spadix is amber-yellow or dark in color. The leaves are sagittate or lanceolate and decorated with silvery-white spots.

The plant height ranges from 40 to 70 cm. Flowering occurs in the summer period from June to September. The plant prefers well-drained moist soils and is not frost-hardy; therefore, in regions with cold climates, it is recommended to dig up the bulbs for the winter.
