The Purple Haze cultivar belongs to the colored calla lily group. The color of the spathe is characterized by a transition from purple to nearly black with a golden rim. The plant height is 35–40 cm; the leaves may have decorative spots.

The flowering period occurs in June–July. The plant is preferably grown in partial shade and is demanding regarding soil acidity in the range of pH 5.6–6.5. The crop requires moderate watering and does not tolerate waterlogging, which causes rot processes.
