The EP29 line was developed by specialists at the Misión Biológica de Galicia based on the AS-3(HT)C3 synthetic population. It is a specialized breeding material intended for research purposes and cross-breeding programs, and is not a commercial variety.
This line belongs to the American dent type and serves as a source for increasing plant vigor. Within the framework of genetic research, it is studied as an object for improving sweet corn characteristics and analyzing grain endosperm hardness.
