The Irla hybrid was considered in the context of cultivation for silage and appeared in comparative studies of forage corn dry matter yield during the 1980s.

A number of documents provided quantitative indicators of yield and moisture for this hybrid, but detailed morphological characteristics, including plant height or disease resistance, are absent in open publications. During the period under review, the hybrid was used in a number of regions, including Romania, where its licensed production was carried out.
