The Shans hybrid belongs to the mid-early group and is adapted for cultivation in the steppe zone. The plant exhibits high drought tolerance, maintaining productivity under moisture deficit, and is frequently used in breeding programs as a maturity group standard.

The hybrid's grain possesses quality characteristics for popcorn production, ensuring a high expansion volume with a minimal percentage of unpopped kernels. The kernel expansion type is classified as 'butterfly'. In breeding, the variety is also used as a parental form for creating next-generation hybrids.
