Shinerock F1 is a late hybrid with a maturity period of about 85 days. The plant is distinguished by vigorous growth, forming cobs approximately 20 cm in length with 18 rows of dark golden-yellow kernels. The hybrid belongs to the sh2 type of extra-sweet corn.
The plant possesses high resistance to common rust (Puccinia sorghi, race Rp1-g), maize dwarf mosaic virus, and Bipolaris maydis. Intermediate resistance is recorded to Exserohilum turcicum and other rust races.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
