The DRIVER R hybrid belongs to the sh2 type (supersweet) and is intended for the fresh market, culinary use, and processing. The plant reaches a height of 210 cm, with ears set at a height of 70–80 cm from the soil level.
The cylindrical ears have a diameter of 5.5–6.0 cm. The kernels are deep and densely arranged in 18–20 rows. The produce has good keeping quality, retaining marketability and taste for 10–14 days after harvest.
The hybrid possesses high resistance to rust (Puccinia sorghi) and intermediate resistance to Maize dwarf mosaic virus (MDMV). The variety demonstrates high plasticity to soil types and resistance to summer heat.
