The SS Early Riser hybrid is characterized by a short maturation period of approximately 68 days. The plant possesses a sturdy stalk and high seed germination vigor, which ensures the emergence of strong seedlings.

The variety belongs to the Summer Sweet type and possesses good flavor qualities oriented toward fresh consumption. Regarding phytopathological resistance, the hybrid has intermediate resistance to northern corn leaf blight.
