The first-generation hybrid (F1) has a growing season to technical maturity of about 78 days. The variety is intended for canning, freezing, and other types of food industry processing.

The plant possesses relative resistance to bacterial wilt (Stewart's wilt), with an infection level of less than 5%, and was also studied in the context of rust resistance. The hybrid demonstrates sensitivity to certain sulfonylurea herbicides, specifically nicosulfuron.
