The hybrid has a dent-type grain and an erectoid leaf arrangement, which increases the efficiency of photosynthesis. Under favorable conditions, it is capable of forming two commercially viable ears; the grain turnout averages about 83%.
The plant possesses a good initial growth rate and resistance to a number of diseases, including root and stalk rots, as well as common smut. The hybrid has medium plasticity and is suitable for cultivation under monoculture conditions.
Recommended sowing density depends on the climatic zone: for Polesia it is 60–70 thousand plants/ha, for the Forest-Steppe and Northern Steppe — 50–60 thousand plants/ha, for the Southern Steppe — 40–50 thousand plants/ha.
