Hybrid Kneja 419 belongs to the mid-early maturity group and is intended for use in grain production. Its creation is based on the use of induced mutagenesis methods, and its parental forms are lines XM 85-105 and XM 93-295.
During the breeding process, the hybrid Pioneer 3737 was used, the seeds of which were subjected to the chemical mutagen N-nitroso-N-methylurea with the addition of dioxane to expand genetic diversity.
