The Kontender maize hybrid is intended primarily for use as a silage crop, including for the needs of biogas plants. The plant possesses high early vigor, as well as early flowering and ear development stages.
A distinctive feature of the variety is delayed senescence at the end of the growing season, which increases the time window for harvesting. According to agronomic publications, the hybrid possesses resistance to Kabatiella zeae.
