Kros266S is a sister-line maize hybrid, sterile according to the 'C' (S) type. In seed production, it is used in schemes involving fertility restorer lines, such as DK365SVZM.

This component is characterized by high yield stability with low ecological plasticity. It is used as a maternal form for creating maize hybrids, for example, the DN Khortytsia hybrid.
