The plant reaches a height of 167–200 cm and is distinguished by drought tolerance and wind resistance. The variety is capable of forming two or more cylindrical ears with a length of 14–20 cm with regular spiral rows of red-orange vitreous kernels.
The crop adapts to loose, stony, and shallow soils. The yield of the variety is about 4 t/ha. Its primary use is for obtaining flour for preparing polenta, which possesses specific taste and aromatic properties.
