The maize variety Narvik is mentioned in archival lists of varieties and hybrids associated with the activities of the company Nickerson S.A. Information on its morphological traits and genetic origin is absent in open sources.
During testing in the mid-1990s, the variety demonstrated grain yield indicators at the level of standards of that time. The plants possessed high winter hardiness, low susceptibility to lodging and stalk breakage, and also demonstrated low susceptibility to leaf spot.
