The PH6WA line is a self-pollinated genetic material that serves as a parental component for the development of other lines and hybrids. It is not intended for mass commercial sowing.
The plant possesses high resistance to northern corn leaf blight, including resistance to race 1, and also contributes to the expression of resistance to gray leaf spot in hybrid combinations. During line testing, above-average cold tolerance was noted, as well as a positive influence on root strength and husk quality in progeny hybrids.
