The line is used by breeders for hybrid seed production. In hybrid combinations, it contributes to the development of plants with good height and stalk strength. In its pure form, the line is characterized by below-average early growth and ear husk quality.
The plant demonstrates excellent resistance to southern corn leaf blight, as well as above-average resistance to gray leaf spot and Fusarium ear rot. At the same time, the line is susceptible to bacterial wilt. Important agronomic traits include good stay-green capacity and high general combining ability.
