The variety is very late, with a growing season of 140–156 days. The plants are tall, reaching a height of 210 to 275 cm, possess abundant foliage, and have a moderate tillering capacity.
The ears are cone-shaped, relatively short and thin, and usually 16-rowed. Between 2 and 4 ears are formed on one plant. The grain is small, white in color, and characterized by an increased content of albumins and globulins.
Historically, the variety was grown for grain in regions with a warm climate. At present, it is used more often for scientific purposes for genetic research and the study of the biochemical properties of protein composition.
