The hybrid has an intermediate, flint-dent grain type and an erectoid leaf type. The ear usually contains from 14 to 18 rows of kernels. Starch content in the grain reaches 74–76 percent.
The plant possesses cold tolerance, is responsive to high-input farming, and is suitable for cultivation on peat-bog soils. It is distinguished by high tolerance to Helminthosporium leaf blight, ear Fusarium, root and stalk rots, as well as common smut.
