Cucumis sativus L.
A type of cucumber growth in which the plant independently terminates the development of the main stem and lateral shoots after the formation of a specific number of nodes and ovaries.

Determinate cucumber forms are characterized by a limited type of growth, which distinguishes them from indeterminate plants capable of increasing vegetative mass indefinitely. The category of determinate types includes bush forms with a stem length of about 20–30 cm or vining plants with low branching capacity.
This trait determines the yield dynamics: such plants provide a more uniform harvest, which is optimal for concentrated picking. Due to their limited growing season and compactness, they require minimal pruning, are suitable for open field cultivation, and help avoid the buildup of disease pressure by the end of the season.
