Impatiens walleriana is widely used in container gardening due to its ability to quickly fill a given volume with a dense, profusely flowering mass. For a 30 cm container, an optimal density is considered to be 3–4 plants. It is recommended to use non-porous materials, such as plastic or metal, to slow down substrate drying and reduce the frequency of watering.

The plant is sensitive to light conditions and prefers partial shade; excessive light in containers leads to leaf drop, while insufficient light causes undesirable stretching of shoots. Regular pinching or pruning is necessary to maintain a compact bush shape. Due to the limited soil volume, the crop requires regular fertilization with liquid fertilizers during the flowering period.

In container conditions, Impatiens walleriana reacts critically to imbalances in water supply.
