Saintpaulia double flowering is a qualitative characteristic of flower shape determined by the number of petals in the corolla. This trait classifies varieties into single, crested, semi-double, and double.

There are four categories of double flowering expression for Saintpaulia. Single flowers have a standard five-petal corolla. In breeding, double flowering is considered a dominant trait; however, its inheritance often depends on the genotype of specific parent pairs.
