Favorable temperature regimes during flowering and grain filling promote fat accumulation, while extreme heat or excess precipitation can reduce the final result.
The stability and level of oil accumulation are closely related to agronomic factors, including the balance of mineral nutrition with an emphasis on phosphorus and potassium. Proper sowing density and timely harvesting allow for the maximum realization of the variety's potential, whereas an excess of nitrogen, the presence of weed impurities, or mechanical damage to seeds lead to a decrease in oil content.
