The abundance of flowering in Anthurium andraeanum is determined by the number of spadix inflorescences formed per plant per year. Highly productive cultivars are capable of producing up to 5–8 inflorescences annually, and under favorable conditions during the summer period, the plant can maintain from 6 to 10 large inflorescences simultaneously.

The duration of flowering includes indicators of the longevity of an individual flower on the bush, which for modern cultivars can be 30 days or more, and the vase life of the flower. When assessing ornamental value, it is taken into account that many cultivars retain an aesthetic appearance of the spathe even after the active flowering phase has ended, often acquiring a greenish hue in the process.
